They were fun when we were eight, they were fun when we were teens, and now that we’re parents, they’re fun to see through new eyes. Our kids will never ever EVER know what it was like to find out Darth Vader was really Anakin Skywalker and have to wait three years to find out if he was lying, but the story will keep resonating every time it’s told again. Pure Joseph Campbell. Pure George Lucas.
