You can create anything you want! Okay, you can create anything you want that is supported by this kit.

Creativity sure is fun, right? It’s one of the greatest resources our feeble human minds can cultivate, especially in kids! Which is why toys like Bendaroos are great, because you can use the flexible building sticks to create something brand new, never-before-seen, and incredible, then tear it down and do something completely different. It’s nuts. You can make pictures, clothes, dolls, just about anything you can think of.

But then you have stuff like this SpongeBob SquarePants Bendaroos 2-Pack. It’s got 300 building sticks, they work just like regular Bendaroos, except now you’ve got templates of SpongeBob, Squidward, Gary, and Patrick to use. So you’re basically saying, “Go nuts creatively, kids, just stay inside the lines and make a reasonable facsimile of SpongeBob.” Talk about mixed messages.

Now there’s nothing that says you HAVE to make a SpongeBob, or that you couldn’t throw the template out and try to make him from scratch all by yourself, but it’s just weird to see a “creative” toy try to hem you in like that. Bendaroos are super cool toys. Don’t let The Man tell you what to do with them.
