I’ve got some weird body image issues; specifically, I feel incredibly ashamed to have arms and legs.

So naturally, when I found out my wife was pregnant, I hoped, deep down, that our baby would not be cursed with the same awkward appendages that plague both of us. Unfortunately, he was born with two of each, just like his mom and dad. I immediately inquired with the delivery doctor about some corrective measures, but he and my wife didn’t really understand my concerns. In fact, my wife went as far as to call me crazy.

Things have settled down since then. This is due, in part, to the talks I’ve had with Dr. Calders, a therapist the delivery doctor referred me to. But I think the CoCaLo Hooded Bath Wrap also deserves some credit. My wife loves it because it helps keep little Henry warm after bath or pool time, it’s got a fitted cap to cover up his little head, and it’s made of absorbent cotton terry. I love it for a different reason: in those moments after his bath or swim, I can look and pretend that Henry is one of lucky ones who will never need to worry about what his hands will grab or where his misguided feet will take him.
