An engaging, easy read for 5th graders that will keep them interested.

My 11-year-old son has recently gotten into reading these books for school. He absolutely loves them! They keep him engaged and reading, and they are short enough so that he can retain the story for when he's tested at school. We had a hard time finding books that he'd enjoy reading that weren't too long. These are perfect for him. I also love that there are several boxed collections. He'll be reading for months!

My young boys like the minecraft references, but have no clue what is going on in the story
By Brien Malone on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2017
I got these for my minecraft obsessed boys, but they're agonizing to read (as a parent reading these as bedtime stories to young kids). Their only novelty is that they talk about things my kids recognize from playing minecraft. Instead of cool stories that happen in the minecraft universe, these read more like someone telling you what they did in minecraft one day. My 6 and 7 year old have no clue what is going on in the storyline. My 11 year old gets bored with it because, as he put it: "The whole thing is just 'this guy says this, that girl says that, so this guy does this.'"
