Tick Tock

Mom's biological clock is going cray cray over the sway sway.

Yesterday if you had asked Michelle if she wanted anymore children, she would have been all like, "Girl, you be trippin'." But now that she was doing some spring cleaning and packing up all of the kids' old stuff to donate, she was having second thoughts.

It's not like she and Tim were old. She still had time. It might be fun to have another baby in the house, with that sweet baby head smell, and the pinchably soft little baby behind.

When she came across the box for Ella's Ingenuity Cradle & Sway Swing, it brought back a flood of warm memories. She had been such a sweet little nugget, believe it or not. Always calm and cooing happily, especially when she was being rocked to sleep by the swing's gentle side-to-side cradling motion.

As she got older, she seemed to prefer the traditional front-to-back swinging motion, and she'd just lay there in the first Comfort Recline position with her little head on the cushioned bolster and drift peacefully off to dream land.

Michelle toggled through the 10 Melodies and Nature sounds and suddenly had a rush of emotions. Her eyes welled up with happy tears, as she imagined Tim holding their newest bundle of joy with Olivia, Jake and Ella gathered around.

"That's it," she thought. "It's decided. We're gonna have another baby."

She ran up the basement stairs, excited to share the news with her family. But when she reached the top, she found Ella, soaking wet with shampoo still in her hair, streaking naked through the living room. Tim was yelling and chasing after her with a towel. Olivia was chasing after him yelling something about how it's so unfair that he wouldn't let her go to the party. And Jake was close behind her, covered head-to-toe in mud, brandishing a giant, slimy bullfrog in each hand.

Michelle stood motionless in the middle of it all. "What the hell was I thinking?"
