Toys-R-Us confirms how good this set is.
An impressive 5 Star 500+ review post at Amazon

FYI, Can still grab some amazon warehouse deals with no damage for cheaper.

I used to love these as a kid... along with Legos some of my favorite toys- I liked they were bigger then legos and you could build bigger things.

Amazon has them for $52.50 with Prime.

When you add in $5 shipping, it's only $7 cheaper with Woot. Not a huge bargain IMHO. However, seems to be an awesome toy. I may grab one for my daughter (6 months old now)for next Christmas.

You'll probably need to save them for two Christmases for your 6 month old. We have two sets of these waiting on a 2ish year old to grow...they are extremely heavy and better for children with better balancing skills and less desire to drop things. They are incredibly well made and worth the price just keep in mind how your child plays before giving them to a small child.

Of course, Mommy is tempted to play with them herself while we're waiting

Amazon actually has a couple of "used-like new" sets for $45 although I used to swear by Warehouse Deals and lately I find them to be less reliable (anyone else experience this?). I may pick one up here since I've had my eye on these for a while but they've always been a bit pricey.

I thought Woot was now owned by Amazon?

We bought these on a previous woot, and a few days after receiving them I saw what appeared to be the exact same set (different "brand name") at costco, for cheaper, with two extra blocks.

They're good blocks. My 2 year old doesn't do much with them yet but she likes knocking them down when I stack them.

What was the price of the set at Costco? Did you buy them to compare?
