Know why this is better than the nascar set? You can turn right!

Although not included, is it possible to use an AC adapter to power the track instead of D cells? Is there a DC input jack somewhere?

That is exactly what is keeping me from buying this for a Christmas present.

I'd have to also buy stock in D batteries! Bummer if you can't buy an adapter.

Mandating D batteries would make this a no buy.

It bothers me that both cars are on the same lane of the track.

Darn you, WOOT. I just bought 2 different track toys on Zulily this weekend for my grandchildren. Oh well, in for 2 of these. You can't have too many toys, right?

Just gave it the once over and asked as well. No DC input jack. Batteries only.

The info that we got from Carerra says 6+. We went with the conservative recommendation and said 6+.

Only 7' of track---is it possible to buy more to add to this because that seems pretty small.

This is not a discounted price. Can find it for $35 other places on internet. What is up with Woot lately? Used to be such great discounts.

it might not have a jack for an adapter, but 6 D batteries in series is ~6VDC so some basic electrical work should let you wire in an adapter. I'd look for one that was at least 1A.

It is possible, but not convenient.

Option 1: buy a Carrera 1:43 terminal track and transformer, and add it to this set. Good luck finding one on its own. I did a few searches and didn't find any. If you have a shop locally that stocks slot car kits, cars accessories, they can help. But, those are few and far between.

Option 2, buy a Carrera Go!! 1:43 set that has an AC transformer, and use that terminal and transformer with this track. But, why not just buy a bigger set to start with? Oh, cost.
Bigger set at Amazon

This is a good deal if you will be satisfied with a small track, and are OK with D-cells.

If you already have Carrera 1:43 track, and want the TMNT trikes to add to your collection, then this is a GREAT DEAL! They can be found for $15.99 each, and you get some additional track to go with it.

Welcome to the hardest time of year to keep up with pricing, especially on toys. Many retailers are willing to take a loss on some items in the hopes that you'll browse their site and buy other high profit items.
