Just come and post. 60 isn't that old here. A few of us are around that age.

Obviously you've never had The Sweet Potato Queens Ruby Red Revirginator Drink Mix. Yep, throw back a couple of those babies and you get your virginity back! Of course, a few more and you might lose it again, so drink responsibly.

For the record, I think I'd be classified as a newbie (2185283), joined in 2009.

Which Team Fumbles, when did you become staff?
I'm pretty oblivious, so if it was years ago, well you don't post often enough!

You weren't always staff, right?

Right! I started working for Woot in 2010. And have not posted much since then, except on Deals - where I work. Everyone was surprised over there too, as I was very active in the community before
being hired.

I'm an oldie. I actually remember Woot when it first launched, but did not register until there was something I really wanted. I thought it was a very interesting idea at the time, but like all new websites, had to make sure it wasn't a scam first.

I don't know if WootBot is a good yardstick. Wasn't there a prize/coupon/certificate for people that had signed up in the first year?

I'm #87659 and I was far too young to get that thing.

I too remember hearing about Woot! in 2004. It was unusual and often had crap. Most things were nothing you really wanted, but sometimes you had a need for something old that came up. I hadn't registered as new "deal" sites popped up almost daily. I can't remember why I initially registered as I didn't buy something until July 2005 when my kids computer had a video card failure and I needed one quick.

It's been an interesting road. I've only gotten two bandoleer of carrots. Many crashes, several "almosts", and lots of cursing of the Woot! gods.

Today's Woot-off's aren't the eccentric ones we remember so fondly. I mean, who didn't want a Compaq USB fan?

Well started watching every day since May 2008. But after some of the stuff that went down today, I am done. Good bye folks. It was a nice run but I think the old bird should have been put down when amazon bought them.
