Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I don't remember ever being afraid of the dark even though I was watching horror movies since I was 3.

Still am.

Humans rely almost solely on the sense of sight.
Not being able to see because of a lack of light is rational.

Or at least that's what I tell myself.

I was never afraid of the dark. The monsters it contains are another matter entirely.

One is only afraid of the dark when one is taught to be afraid of the dark. Since I was the oldest child, I was taught not to be afraid by my parents, and it took. I love the dark, and it helps that I have great night vision.

I was more afraid of not being able to read until midnight than the dark itself. ;)

I stopped using a night light in my room around age 12. Couldn't sleep so unplugged it one night and never turned back. Doesn't mean I wasn't still afraid of the dark though.

I bet most people who answered they still are afraid of the dark were joking. I'm not. It's not the weirdest of phobias out there at least.

Ditto & my son isn't either. As a matter of fact, I can't sleep it there is too much light. That's why I have a sleeping mask in my travel bag.

Since I promised to comment: I don't recall ever being afraid of the dark. I was the kid that liked watching "Twister" only when it was storming outside.
