I saw these at the office yesterday. They're really cool and BIG. They seem well made with each block reinforced with plastic grids. That's what the pegs fit into. They were easy to put together and get to fit.

Holler if you have questions.

Oh, and COOL. Did I say they were COOL!

Pros:
-Harder to lose and step on
-Easier for younger kids to play with and not have to worry about choking
-Can be used for more than just "lego". You could use them to make fake bowling pins etc

Cons: Size kind of limits what kind of structures you can build out of them

real quick (and I'm guessing the kid doesn't come with this): $79.99 tonight.
$139.99 Sears (I won't bother linking Kmart since obviously same business, same price, and unavailable)

Ages 3+??? Is that the recommendation for elephants or something? I'm pretty sure your 2 year old can't choke these down the ol' windpipe.

Ummmm.... Why are the "Specs" & "In the box" measurements completely different?
Are the correct measurements of the blocks the "specs", or the "in the box" ??? Or neither?
And I was just about the click "complete order".

Does anyone know if these fit with the Mega Bloks sets?

The measurements below are the number of nubs on the top and the size above are the actual dems of the blocks themselves. Hope that helps.

These are cooler... Seriously, why haven't giant building blocks caught on? I'd love to be able to build a utility shed and then tear it down and change the design if necessary. Think how it would change our construction practices!

The small block you linked to weighs over 3 pounds!

These blocks average less than 1/4 pound, based on a total weight of 30 pounds divided by 128 blocks.

Exactly this on the budget, and I'll raise it with lack of storage space... but I want to play with these, let alone my 3yo son.

They're the same. You'll see that "In the box" matches the Block Type in the Specs. Like Legos, the blocks are "named" by their pegs. So a 2x2 is a square block with two pegs by two pegs.

Exactly. Go big or go home! These are big, but I want big enough to build a house...
