Is it bad that I read the name and thought "What does that have to do with floppy disks?"

These are a colossal waste of money. I bought one with my first child and used it one time. It ends up being ONE MORE thing to carry that isn't necessary so you leave it at home about 99% of the time anyway. Just wipe your shopping cart handle with a sanitizing wipe and be done with it!

My mom gave us one of these covers (not this brand, but similar.) It was almost impossible to install with one hand, which would basically have meant going to get the shopping cart and bringing it to the side of the car so that I could install the cover before getting baby out of the car seat. Used it exactly once.

If you're wondering about it as a gift for someone else--I notice babies in stores, since I had one myself, and I think I've seen maybe 4 of these in the wild in the last four years. So it's probably not even a great shower gift, or there would be a lot more people using them.

Moms will spend money on anything. What a waste of money and cotton. Your precious little Ashley can spend 20 minutes in the cart without this crap and be fine.

OK, this copy was obviously written by a man and not a mom. Shopping carts are made of metal and have a hard plastic seat. There are no creepy stains that you have to worry about. It is the nasty sticky ooze that seems to always be smeared conveniently on the handle where your baby will invariably put his/her mouth.
