These are great scooters for taller kids (9+) and adults. They are light weight and don't fold up so they work great for tricks. The first 2 I purchased from woot before Christmas, were such a hit, I bought 2 more on the next woot. I'm in for 2 more ( I for me) and a perfect gift for a birthday gift for the kid's friends.

Would this be too big for a 5 year old?

The handlebars sit over 2 feet up, and don't appear to be adjustable to height from what I can see. I don't think it would be ideal.

Before I go through the entire purchase process, is there a charge for shipping?

Sad to see a grown man modeling children's toys on Kids.Woot .

(Overall signature size was getting large. Recommended signature size is 5k.)

My sweetie and I (both a couple of middle aged farts) just took these scooters out for a joyride through a snobby park this afternoon. They're more portable than bikes, safer and easier to dismount than rollerblades, and way faster than walking. I liked how when going uphill these strengthen glutes and hamstrings--the most important parts some of gals consider. The only thing that would have made it more fun is to have the dog with us. Weee!
