I don't know why this is in the kiddie section, because if the bag has a clasp or some sort of closure on the top of it, I want one! Is there a closure on the top? Are there any pockets inside?

There is a velcro closure at the top that is about 1 inch wide but no pockets. I wouldn't go swinging it upside down but should keep most things contained

I love the designs too - just keep in mind that the length is 60" or 5 feet which is why it is geared towards kids.
