Two words: Disposable Income

It was hard to pick one thing from that poll, but damn it I miss going to the bathroom on my own. My son literally kicks the door in, then sits on the side of the tub. I told him today to stay outside the closed door and I could see his little baby shadow under the crack between the floor and the door.

I dream of the day when his priorities, won't put me in the red.

Peace and quiet around the house.

The ability to pick up and move/travel at a moments notice.
I certainly wouldn't trade him for anything, but it sure would be nice if kids were more portable.

8-12 hour gaming sessions interrupted only for more snacks or bio breaks. Being able to watch anything I wanted in the living room without having to worry about giving someone nightmares, ensuring I would lose more of my bed. Peace and quiet. Being able to study on my own terms. NOT sounding like my parents!

Sleeping later than 7am

Not having kids that hate me.

All of the above. But we did reinstate Friday as date night, once the kids were old enough for a baby sitter

I guess I haven't been a dad long enough (18 months) to miss anything yet.

Hmm... I don't miss anything on the list because I still have them all. And I have 3 kids.

Life

Taking a shower whenever I feel like it!

SEX

Being able to have sex anytime and any place in the house I want and not have to be 'quiet' about it.... because I'm a screamer *nudge nudge wink wink*

And 'naked days' (when we don't put clothes all day) can't happen unless it's sleepover at grandma's.... *sigh*

Eating food at the temperature it was served. (Hot soup, cold sandwiches, etc.)

The days when we could be out of the house for an entire day and not have to worry about scheduling naps/food/changing stations/driving time/running time.

Sleeping on more than just a sliver of my King sized bed.

two things: shopping in peace and online gaming

Not having to decide between a shower, a nap, or food during my 'free' time. But I wouldn't want it any other way!

Financial solvency.

My kids are grown and have their own houses, so I have all the above plus peace and quiet, and disposable income.

Time!

the time to sit and read in peace (and not be interrupted every 2 mins)

I was the 6% that chose other because it is allllllll of the above....and having money...I miss having money.

What about those of us with no kids? (I shop kids Woot to spoil my nieces and nephews).

I guess the only thing I really miss is sleep and having me time. Other than that, I am extremely grateful to be a mother because it got my mind right

Being able to just "run to the store" without working around nap/feeding times, and without having to do the complicated house-to car-to carseat-to covered shopping cart-back to carseat-back to car-and then somehow back into home WITH groceries transfers that such a trip requires.
