two very good reviews over at amazon http://www.amazon.com/Regal-Lager-Cybex-Ruby-Stroller/dp/B004OTFANK
This stroller rates 36th out of 40 "Single umbrella style strollers" on Consumer Reports. The pros: were being lightweight and having a compact size. also was rate very good in maneuverability. Only reason I post is due to my skepticism of the Amazon reviews.
They're $149 at Babies R Us: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11024770&prodFindSrc=pn And $134 at Target: http://www.target.com/p/cybex-ruby-stroller-eclipse/-/A-13474595 Not much in the way of reviews anywhere though.
Can we be assured that these strollers are not part of the product recall referenced here? http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2010/Regal-Lager-Announces-Recall-to-Repair-CYBEX-Strollers-Risk-of-Fingertip-Amputation-and-Laceration-Hazards/ When were they manufactured? A positive review of the model is here: http://strollerqueenreviews.blogspot.com/2011/11/cybex-ruby-review.html?m=1 Would feel better with a confirmation that these are safe.
The website Baby Bargains has a stroller forum where this is a popular and often recommended stroller to those looking for a sturdy, not tippy umbrella stroller at a reasonable price that holds up to 55 lbs. I checked some of the bargain baby equipment websites and this is the best price I found. If you watch the video on the sale page, it shows more features that totally sold me. The hood zips open to enlarge the hood to cover more area, the height of the seat back is higher than most other brands for taller toddlers (the seat back on our Maclaren is 19 inches where this Ruby has a 22 inches), there is an option for a slight recline and the hood raises up to accommodate a taller child. After watching the video, I bought one of these and I'm selling our Maclaren stroller as soon as this arrives. That Maclaren drives me nuts with the pain in the butt buckle and the breaks that never want to work.
While I don't have this exact model of stroller, I do have a Cybex & have been really pleased with it. Quality is much better than some of the cheap junk out there.
Great for taking your kid on a rockin' stroll! (Sorry, I'm still stuck in the '90s-themed woot-off)

Sorry for the late reply, we're checking up on the status of your inquiry and any additional info Woot Staff can provide at this point. Thanks for you patience while we find out more.
Just got confirmation from the buyer that Cybex Ruby Strollers were made in 2011 and were not part of the recall mentioned in by CPSC.gov

Thank you
I can't speak to the Ruby model, but I got our Cybex Topaz model two years ago through Woot and we've been very satisfied with the purchase. It's extremely lightweight, folds easily, and has stood up to multiple gate checks. We also were able to purchase straps that enabled us to use it as an infant car seat carrier for our Peg Perego SIP 30/30.
I have been using Cybex Callisto over two years now and it's been a great stroller. I think Cybex makes quality products.
I'd appreciate any buyers to report on here how they like the stroller. On paper, this was my "dream" travel stroller, but at the time, I just couldn't fit it in the budget. I wanted the purple SO bad. I've never seen one in person, so any reviews would be helpful. I'm hoping to maybe see one in a Woot-Off. I'm particularly interested in how lightwight it is to carry and if a 5'3" person would find it too tall to put on my shoulder using the carry strap(I've heard it's tall when folded). Also, I'm interested in how easy or difficult it is to maneuver. I hope someone checks back in!
