As an elementary teacher I want to say BUY this now, as colored pencils should never be sharpened in the regular pencil sharpener. A typical colored pencil is only good for about the first hour of a new school year. By then it's dull.
But I am concerned that these seem more like crayons. I don't know how they will work for fine strokes, like on a map, graph, etc.
These are awesome for all ages and a great deal 48 in one package. They have cute little messages as you unravel them. They work well.
I think they're basically china markers which are heavy-duty crayons. Good price for 48, though, not to mention it's fun to unravel them!
