Wondering what age I would have to be to know anything about this other than the word Pokemon and recognizing it as a yellow and black cat thing.

My son went through that stupid Pokemon phase. Never really understood why it was so popular. I guess I'm one of those parents that just didn't get it. I did take him to see the Pokemon movie. Awful! But he & his friends loved it.

I voted fire since it is the closest to gas (of the bodily kind) I could get.

As far as kids' cartoons go, Pokemon, at least in the 90s, wasn't terrible. It really wasn't. My four year-old son has the first "season" collection on DVD, and the show is cute and fun.

I went with water because I think Squirtle is the best. And Mudkip isn't far behind.

I felt there were types missing, so I went to Wikipedia, which says there are 17 types of Pokemon. Soooo....

I misread that and then clicked "grass" too quickly. I would like to think dragon, but I know it would be closer to a gas type.
