Chuck the Dumptruck was eventually dropped from the Cars films, after it was determined his constant jokes about dumps were too crass for young audiences.

Can you tell us more about why it's a good toy?

The kinematics and sound effects are very funny and entertaining. It is activated by pressing the entire "head" of the truck, so it is extremely easy for a small child to play with. My only complain is that I wished it had more animation cycles. I've counted about 5 cycles. With today's technology it could have hundreds of different movements. It could have had a much greater entertainment value.
Meh... kids wanted nothing to do with Chuck after 5 minutes. My kids don't really get into these types of toys, however. They prefer trains and matchbox cars to these more "entertaining" toys. Chuck gets annoyingly repetitive in short time.
I paid $24.99 a month or so ago. Worth it! Very popular with the grandkids! (Boy - 8 mos., girl - 2 1/2)
Here's Chuck in action! I really like the fact that there's an on/off switch on the bottom; I don't really want to hear from Chuck all night.

Thanks for posting that! And, I agree that the off switch is crucial... or you have to put lots of duct-tape on the speakers of toys and try and convince the kids "it's supposed to be like that!"
This is what Tonka trucks have become? Yuck!
