I recommend NOT buying an infant seat that only accommodates a baby up to 22lbs. Both of my kids grew out of the SnugRide 22 by the time they were 6 months old. However, the SnugRide is a great car seat, so go for the SnugRide 32 or 35 so you can use it longer.

I agree! I have a SnugRide 35, and I LOVE it! The only problem is that my son is a little taller than average, so even though he is still under 16 lbs, his shoulders are starting to pass the top slot for the harness straps (he was a little over 26" at his last dr's appt). It looks like we'll have to get him a new one soon, but he's almost sitting up on his own, so we're thankfully almost past the point where we need to take it into the store with us so he has somewhere to sit. I do love that ours has the car base, and it attaches very easily to his Graco strollers. The release handle is VERY simple and convenient!
