Fun fact: If you're an adult and buy this for yourself, you'll find the virginity you lost.
This would have been a super great toy.... 7 years ago
Star Wars and flash lights - a perfect combination for my 3 year old son. In for one of each to use as potty training bribes. Hoping The Force will be strong in him and he will defeat the diapers of the Dark Side.
Is it just me or do these look more like sonic screwdrivers?
Are these Disney approved? I don't want a lawyer knocking on my door in 2 years saying I have to turn this "evidence" over.
$12.99 for Darth Maul, $9.99 for the other two tonight At Digiblue, $39.99 for the 3, at the bottom of the page shows $14.99 individual http://www.digiblue.com/star-wars-jedi-flashlight-bundle/ New Egg $14.99 Anakin http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1FS0FS2509&name=Learning-Educational which gives me an excuse to post this: No, I haven't seen the movie, just like the video
I never realized that song had a video.
I don't need another flashlight but that video and song are awesome. I don't know how I've never seen or heard it before.
In for 3 (one of each). When my son heard there was going to be an Episode 7 thanks to WDW, he just about levitated and danced on the ceiling. He's going to LOVE these. Back in the day (ut oh) I had something kindof similar. Only it was a flashlight type handle with a long detachable white/semi-translucent tube. Totally awesome to my 7 year old self. Totally boring compared to these. Christmas is gonna rock thanks to Woot! *Bowing to the awesome Woot staff*

They're not just flaslights! They're also lightsabers!
Peeking in one last time,... I hope it's not too off topic, but the wikipedia explanation for the song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Saga_Begins

Super Woot!!! My son loves "Doctor Who" AND "Star Wars" - Oh, yeah....I'm the best mom EVER!!! Thanks for the Christmas present, Woot!
anybody know what distance they are useful to?

Can't find any info but I'd say no more than 5ft. My 6yr old is going to love these...
In for one of each for my 5 yr old daughters Star Wars obsessed best friend. I am always looking for a good SW gift for him.

That would have been a very clever comment.....8 years ago.
Yes, because popular culture has long left Star Wars behind alongside other archaic cultural touchstones, such as Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and Lord of the Rings.
Getting two of them. $25 is pretty cheap for moving from "mean uncle" to "cool uncle" this Christmas.
Can anyone weigh in on how bright these are? I like the idea of one, as we put away my real light saber (real meaning Force F/X) and my Star Wars-loving son pines for next Halloween when he can properly Jedi again, but I'm concerned that they would be too bright. He has a penchant for flashlighting people in the eye. I mean, they use the word "powerful" to describe the LED light. Guess it's a moot point now!
Anyone know what material these are made of? My amateurish research shows that amazon has the yoda one and the shipping weight is 3.6 pounds so I'm thinking aluminum rather than plastic (i am hoping).
Thats funny i was thinking the same
Love that weird al song. That led me to another one "complicated lyrics" I think, that was funny as well
I am saddened and overjoyed that this sold out. :D

it's made of plastic not aluminum

I don't know how many lumnens or whatever, but colored LEDs are never as bright as white lights. So not to worry, your son's tendency to flashlight people in the eyes will probably not bother anyone. Just don't get him a BB gun though.
