I liked it when I went.
I liked it when my kids went.
I liked volunteering in kindergarten.
Conversation between kindergarten teacher and two kids at the beginning of the year.
Kid A had older siblings and was completely comfortable with the school building.
Kid B was new to the school.
Task: going to the lunchroom to get the milk for snack time. Stop at the office to drop off a note.
Teacher asks kid A if he knows where the office is. Yes.
Teacher give note to kid B.
They take the milk cart and leave.
15 or 20 minutes later they return with the milk and the note.
Teacher to kid B. Why do you still have the note?
Kid B, I don't know where the office is.
Teacher to kid A Do you know where the office is
Kid A yes
Teacher Can you show kid B where the office is?
Kid A. No, he doesn't know where the offfice is.
Teacher , but you know where the office is. Can't you show him
Kid A, no, he doesn't know where the office is.
Now I'm thinking, this conversation has no end.
Teacher tries a few more times. I'm trying not to burst out laughing.
Teacher takes the note from kid B's hand. Gives it to kid A.
Teacher: Can you bring this to the office?
Kid A. Sure
Teacher Take kid B with you and show him where the office is.
Kid A OK
