My first grade students love to play with these. They do tend to leave behind fuzziness on the carpet, but it's well worth the joy.

This looks like an incredible deal. The best price I can find so far is Amazon - this is the largest collection I can find and it is $18 but there are still considerably less pieces.

The ones that I've found for this price have half to one-third of the pieces.

I got these off woot a few years ago, just the basic set of giant pipe cleaners, minus the plastic parts, and my kids LOVE them. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I've since bought a couple of cheap add-ons with the plastic pieces, but they very rarely, if ever actually, play with those. But they've made some really amazing little things out of the pipe cleaner parts. I pick them up and put them back in their rooms pretty much daily. My nine-year old son makes a lot of "inventions" out of them. I gave them to him at his 7th birthday party, and all of the kids went nuts, from the two year olds to the 20 year olds. This is one of the best toys I've ever purchased for them.

So its a pipecleaner with some fuzz and googly eyes. ok gg woot.
