Unzips from the bottom for easy diaper changes

I cannot overstate the importance of this.

I think these are creepy, but I have a strange way of looking at things. Here is my crappy MSPaint X-Ray of this picture.

I know this is very inaccurate. I don't care.

This is a fine safe cover if you just want to keep your baby warm, but it isn't a swaddle.

Far better is the Miracle Blanket. That gives a nice tight swaddle that promotes longer more peaceful sleep. It's a little more expensive, but one size fits all. Even at this deal price, once you've gone through the three sizes you've still paid more than you would for a Miracle Blanket.

My son used one, and it was amazing. We also had a Halo, but it mostly stayed in the drawer because it didn't really do anything.

All large sizes except crappy brown trademarked name brand faux fur are gone? Bleh, rather pay retail than that style.

"I CAN SEE WOOT FROM MY WORK!" No, really, I'm literally down the street from them! The minions and gnomes they have working there seem human... almost TOO human if you asked me, which you didn't, Mr. and/or Mrs. Nosey!

As a mother to a child that passed away from SIDS I would highly recommend the sleepSack. For newborns you can also find a swaddle sleepSack. If you would like more information on safe sleeping procedures for your baby please go to sidsks.org (hope I am allowed to put that here). Wearable blankets are recommended and are proven to keep babies safer while they sleep.

Sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing the link.

Our kids' bedrooms get very cold in the winter and this helped them from being ice cubes at night and assuaged my fears about having blankets in the crib.

The miracle blanket is good for small newborns but once babies start to roll over, you shouldn't swaddle them. These are great for keeping babies warm without dangerous looose blankets that can suffocate.

My baby hates being swaddled, and I'm afraid of using blankets in her crib, so this is really the best for her!
She is all warm and cozy and she's nice and safe. I also love how it unzips from bottom to top.

I bought these for my grandson a while back. My daughter-in-law LOVES them. Since he's no longer a newborn she no longer swaddles so these are used nightly.

I absolutely love the Halo sleep sacks! Perfect for wiggly little infants that would never keep blankets on, and you don't have to worry about them getting bunched up by their faces.

It all depends on the child. My son could get his arms out of any kind of swaddle. After one week of attempting the recommended swaddle and him crying until he got an arm out, we swaddled him with his arms out the whole time. That made him feel secure, but not constricted (I think he was over that, 9 months was long enough for him).

After a month we switched to the Halo sleepsack, and he slept so soundly. Some babies can't sleep without swaddling, but it's only recommended for so long because of potential issues with bone and joint development. I cannot recommend these enough, as they provided more restful sleep for me and my son; I didn't have to worry about him getting cold, and he didn't wake up as often from cold.

I got these on woot a few years ago for much cheaper ($5.99 but I doubt it'll let me post that); you'd have to buy several to make this worth it. But, I like to stock up and give them as gifts; my oldest son used a sleep sack from day one until about 9 months. My younger one was swaddled for 4 months and then used the sleepsack.

On the product description page it says that it is "flame ret_ardant" (_ for woot's edit, lol), but on the Halo SleepSack FAQ page, it says that they are not chemically treated. Are these different than those? I'm not a fan of PBDEs.

If you read the question above the one you mention on the Halo site, it says they meet the requirements for flammability. The Halo product pages (material tab) also says they're flame cool kidsant.

Does the HALO SleepSack wearable blanket meet the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines for fabric flammability?
YES. Our products meet the requirement mandated by the CPSC Standard for Flammability of Clothing and Textiles under the Flammable Fabrics Act.

Is the HALO SleepSack wearable blanket chemically treated with flame cool kidsant chemicals?
NO. The fabric and garments are not chemically treated.

LOVED these for both my kids - they were both over two years old before they quit using them and neither were all that excited about giving up their sacks at night. Warm, happy, sleepy babies are the best.

I love these! we used these with all our kids. I wish they were still small enough to wear them. If you have a new baby do yourself a favor and buy one or two or three!
