Roller skates still exist? Neat! (I thought they were wiped out by the absurd popularity of roller blades... was hard to buy any when I was a kid, think we got the last pair on clearance at a store)

My kids learned to skate on skates that looked pretty much like these. The skates fared well - the twins were pretty rough on them, and they managed to stay in good enough shape to hand down to nieces and nephews.

On Amazon it says that this fits kids shoe sizes 6-12. So would these skates fit shoes size 6-12 and not 10-13?

So is the tension on the wheels adjustable? So that you can adjust how fast they spin. I remember at the rink when we were little you could adjust the wheels to the point you could walk on them and they wouldn't roll at all. The new skates at the rink are not adjustable at all, so little kids don't have a chance.

I'm sure skates probably vary a bit, but you can still tighten the wheels at the rinks around here. Perhaps they just don't want to?

These should be adjustable, but I'm no expert.

Is this toddler sizing?

I don't think your kid's teammates on a junior roller derby team would take too kindly to these.

Yes. My 6 yr old daughter has a pair like these right now and they are tight on her, she is only a size 12. So these are definitely for younger kids, which is weird.
