Things That Go On Your Lap for 500, Alex

Like I don't get enough grief at school with kids calling me string bean and Gangly Magee. I can't even come home and unwind comfortably with a Justin Bieber YouTube video thanks to these cursed chicken legs of mine! That was the story before I got my rainbow zebra laptop cushion. WHO'S LAUGHING NOW, NICKY DOOLEY?

The drink holder makes it, I'm just saying. When you were younger, how did you study?

I'm just hanging out, really.

Woah, I'm afraid these would encourage my kids to demand breakfast-in-bed.

These are cute. I really like the flower one, but description says flower is made of fabric . . . Makes that design impractical.

I think that was just a joke about not watering the flower. The top is board and the padding underneath is fabric.

As lovingmama noted above, that's just the writers being... writers.

It has a hard surface top like the other desks with the padded bottom.

Although on second thought, maybe it would encourage them to bring their dad breakfast in bed.... hmmmm...

What size of laptop (screen-wise) do you think the lap ones could handle? I see the specs show them to be 17" wide, but I think the light and cup holder may get in the way of a 15-17 inch laptop.

Question...
Does anyone know what the table part is made of? It must be made pretty sturdy to hold a laptop? Also, I'm guessing it's laminated in case of a drink falling over?
Thanks!

For what you get this is not a bad price. But from what I have seen of them they are not that good for a real laptop.
It would prob get way to hot and be too big.
A net book? Yes. This is a great size for a tablet or net book.

As for what it is made of it's just hard plastic. (the one I saw in person was)

The drink holder looks like a great idea till you see how small it is.. Most full size cups/bottles won't fit.

I got my son a lap desk for his birthday and this was going to be my second pick.
I ended up getting one very much like this but it was a little bigger and had a full size cup holder.

This one I passed up after reading a review on a website that said the light burnt out after a month of use.
There is no way to replace it they said after it dies. Not sure if this is true or not but having a dead light just sitting there in the way seemed like a bad idea.

Here is a link to the one we ended up getting.

Yes, it costs a good bit more.
Thats why I said at this price you are getting a good deal I think.
Have seen the woot ones sold for 20$ at other places.

All that aside, I think I may get one for myself anyway! But I would use it more for reading/drawing then a laptop holder.

I was going to buy one of those tables after I finished breakfast, but they all sold out before I was done.

Oh well.
