These playhouses are great for little kids, great for playing house, and even greater for being a safe-house in an all-out-neighborhood nerf battle!!!!

Plus, you can store stuff in there when the kids aren't playing, and, in this case, in a beautiful house.

The quality of these are really nice. Although when Costco has these they are the same price. Highly recommend these

Sorry woot but I don't think your prices are That great. At this rate it's essentially just cheaper shipping. Camping World.

(for me I saved 20 dollars in tax and 4 dollars in shipping, not even 10% off)

Still looks like it would be a lot of fun.

My first thought at seeing this was, "hey, that would make a nice chicken coop!" I guess my kid would probably like it as well.

Now I'm debating buying this instead of building my own coop....

Many times.
Woot is pretty cool about lowering the price when someone points out a similar price elsewhere.

And to think all we ever got was the awesome boxes when someone in the neighborhood bought a new fridge or washer/dryer.

Do you know if it has a floor? We would like to use it to cover a small well-pump in the minnesota winter. Do you think it would weather the winter outside? How much 'assembly required? How heavy? Thanks wooters.

The Assembly Instructions do not show a floor. The Camping World specs list this model at 99 lbs.

I thought the same thing - what a great chicken coop! I've seen these converted easily. But I can probably find a better deal on craigslist. The chickens won't mind second hand.

My son had one of these which we converted into a chicken coop, he had many years of fun in it, and it was a MUCH cheaper option than any chicken coop on Criagslist, even at this price it is.

HA HA! Before I read this, I was telling my husband that I would have died and gone to heaven if I had this playhouse as a kid. I remember I got a refridgerator box that I chained to a tree with a bike lock in front of my home so nobody would steal my AWESOME club house! Awww the good ol' days

Another future project solved! I was going to build a play something but the price to hassle factor I couldn't pass up.

SAMs club had this last week for 199 and not on sale

wootnessless

quality posts: 0 Private Messages wootnessless

Did Sam's deliver to the front door for $5 and no taxes? Does SAM's Club even have sales? It's tiring looking for the lowest possible price for mainly bragging rights. I'm not bashing your comment (well, maybe) but just saying there's always a better/similar deal, somewhere, sometime.

Had one similar from costco but it had a porch. If you looking for something for a couple of years,it great. Kids had lots of fun for about 4 years. The wood is cheap so you need to put a thompson water seal or something similar on it if you want it to last more than 2 years. It has no floor so I built a platform out of treated wood to put it on. I live in Ohio so, so treated wood was a must. Roof is great but it will fade. Shipping and tax makes this an ok deal, but not great. Also makes returns very difficult is a piece is broken which 2 were. Costco opened a box and gave us the pieces no questions asked.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...presents.

We have a Step2 version that is similar, yet plastic. I sort of like the plastic just for being able to hose it out and not worry about water damage. Being said, my kids would absolutely love this thing. Would it hold up in snow?

I am going to put this in the basement, that way I something stylish to sleep in when my wife is pissed at me. Beats the dog crate I have been using.

I wish someone made a full sized shed this nice, and this reasonably priced!

I too thought chicken coop, but then there is the cat enclosure project that has been haunting me for a year. Paint it to match the house and preserve the wood, cover the windows with wire, add a few cat perches a scratching branch and Miss Hattie can enjoy squirrel and birdwatching from the safety of her own home!

Is it strong enough to be a tree house?

jerron wrote:Is it strong enough to be a tree house?

I don't see why not, but since it doesn't come with the floor, you will need to build a sturdy foundation. A more relevant question is how heavy it is, and I'd say it weighs close to 150 lbs or so.

I have an older model, I think, since ours don't have the gable vent. It's a very sturdy and well-built playhouse. We keep it inside so can't speak of its outside durability. It wasn't usual to find my daughter sneaking off her bed in the middle of the night and sleeping in it. It's also a very nice quiet space/refuge from her annoying little brother too.

For $200, it's very much worth the money. It may not be that much cheaper than other playhouses but I think playhouses are much cheaper now. We bought ours about 2 years ago for $300.
