Something about minecraft or something. Looks like it could be cool though. I kinda wish I had these when I was a kid. Blockfort would be awesome.

Seems… expensive. At least for what you actually get.

30 panels building open ended cubes at 4 sides each means you/your kid can build a tube 7 cubes long. Looking at that first picture it seems like that would be all of the panels in use.

first sucker is in Texas... maybe they're building a tunnel under the border with these

Also, those kids pose for pictures the exact same way each time... Creepy...

No matter how big you build it they will always be equally happy.

I agree. It does seem to be priced way too high.

Love Woot!

For the size, it seems pretty cool. I think my son would have moved to build some secret areas with these. Or a Power Ranger Power Dome.

What happened to building forts out of regular old cardboard boxes? I remember the good old days when if any of the neighbors on the street got a new fridge or washer and dryer, it was instant neighborhood fort day!

Interesting product, but my son would want to climb on them as well. Found the companies website and unfortunately, climbing on them is not an option. Pass!

Question Can children climb on the structures they build?
Answer
No. Our system is made to simply enclose space. Climbing onto a built structure is not recommended as it is designed not to support any appreciable weight.

Bummer... I was considering this as a safer alternative to the three story wooden fort I built as a kid. The fact that I could climb up into it was the best part... Until it fell over with me in the third story... I learned a lot about foundations that day.

I didn't see the little corner clips at first. Lose one of those and you're basically out a whole cube, right?

I guess I thought it was a storage system at first and was a little more interested.

It would be worth it if they came with locks on them!!!

At first, I thought it was for 30 cubes but it's for 30 panels. Thankfully they didn't count clips as part of piece count. Basically you can only make 5 individual cubes out of this set. It's like 20 bucks for a flimsy plastic cube. No good.

I have to agree. The pricing on this is insane. Wake me up when it's $30.

Brikablok.com -
$109.95 for 26 = $4.23/panel
$179.95 for 46 = $3.91/panel

Woot -
$99.99/30=$3.33/panel

Amazon -
$138.15/46=$3.003/panel (Prime Eligible)

http://www.amazon.com/Brik-A-Blok-Set-Red-Blue-Panels/dp/B002NW5AG2

Amazon wins this one hands down. Come on woot, you can't even beat out your parent company? Do you guys even check their prices?

I'll be getting off your lawn now.

this is expensive - and these panels are not stable enough for young children - the corners are pretty sharp so if you fall on the construction you might get hurt- the little clips are bound to get lost and any cardboard box will offer more fun.
We will stick with the cardboard buildings - they can be collapsed, can be painted, you can cut windows and doors in them and they are fully recycable

This does not seem like a good deal, as others seem to indicate (I only skimmed the comments - [edit] on read, thePenrod beat me to it ).

You can get a 26 piece set on Amazon for $86 with free shipping if you have prime: http://www.amazon.com/Brik-A-Blok-Set-Yellow-Blue-Panels/dp/B004D8QDSS/ref=sr_1_2?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1345127090&sr=1-2&keywords=BRIK-A-BLOK

That's about $3.30 a block, same price as Woot. The larger set on Amazon is about $3 a block: http://www.amazon.com/Brik-A-Blok-Set-Red-Blue-Panels/dp/B002NW5AG2/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1345127090&sr=1-1&keywords=BRIK-A-BLOK

Either way, I expect a discount from Woot, not current retail price. This is way too close to the price I would pay *anywhere else*. No thank you. Nice try, Amazon.

That said, the reviews are great.

I was ALMOST in for one.

Don't know about your appliance suppliers, but I've bought a refrigerator, washer, dryer, and stove in the past couple years, and none of them came in boxes. They just tape everything together, stuff foam here and there, and tape the instruction books to the top.

So sad the kids have been photoshopped. They were probably playing with something cool and got transplanted here.

Ok, you math wizards drive a hard bargain but so do we. We've got back to our supplier and pushed back hard. The result is good news for you:

The price has been lowered from $99.99 to $79.99. I'll let y'all compute the per panel price since you seem to enjoy it so much.

As always, if you purchased these at the higher price, never fear! Woot is here! Customer service will refund you the difference and send you a cheery email filled with this good news.

Now, what's my motto?

Go buy 3!

I thought these might be fun to get for my nephews because they reminded me of the fun we had building with these little tikes blocks http://www.littletikeschildcare.com/toys/big-waffle-blocks.aspx
They were awesome! You could make chairs out of them or a telephone booth to put your sibling in! The product featured here? Doesn't look as fun, but they will be much easier to store since they are much flatter.

This makes them $2.67/panel. No, I don't love doing that, I just hate getting snookered. I do love me a good deal, though.

Also, I'm feeling a little jilted by not getting a quality post for my work, especially seeing as how it resulted in a price lowering. (Although, the price was actually probably lowered because you weren't selling very many, but I'll take what credit I can get. At least in the world of woot.) I'm not feeling the love here. Not even a shout out from @ThunderThighs.

Well, given the way that food containers are advertised - with the container and the lid counting as separate "pieces" - shouldn't this be advertised as a "70 piece set" ?? I mean, look at all those connectors, those are pieces too, right?

Is Woot pieceist?

Is that even a word?

Should it be? Who do I talk to about that?

Oh my! Thank you so much! I had no idea that giant Waffle Blocks were back! I was so sad when my first kid came along a few years ago and waffle blocks were off the market. Wooo! For those who don't know... Big Waffle Blocks are *the best* building toy (the little ones are fun too, especially if they bring back the castle). Yes, they are huge and can't be stored, but who wants to store them? Yes, they do break down eventually in the sun and fall apart, but that's only after years of play. My friend's four kids played with these things almost daily for *years* they are that cool. Waffle Blocks forever!

Well, we don't usually give a quality post to someone that calls us out on pricing. But we do our best to make sure we're the best deal when we can.

How about a hug?

LOL. Talk to the manufacturers. They're the ones that call the shots on the number of pieces that their sets are advertised as having.

One of the best "toys" I ever had was the box our new refrigerator came in when I was 6. Spaceship, submarine, fort, prison cell...that thing served a million uses for me and my friends. The day we left it in the backyard during a thunderstorm was a sad one, indeed.
