i think one thing to remember is: everything in moderation. too much of anything can be bad. whether or not to take a multivitamin will depend on what else you're eating. real food is usually better than pills, but if you're not willing and able to eat a balanced diet, then what?

I'm going on the assumption of a balanced diet, not a Twinkie diet. It's the same as eggs. They told us one a week. Now you can have one a day. Same with coffee. Coffee's bad. Now, in moderation, coffee's fine. There needs to be a number of studies on the same thing with independent researchers overseeing, and those obserevations added to the studies.

what would this look like (without the "overseeing" part)? as each study finishes, each individual research team would publish their results. eventually someone comes along, reads all the published papers, gathers up all the data and publishes a summary review paper. before the review paper is written, though, i bet the news media services would publish leetle news blurbs about each individual paper.

is this so different than what is happening now?

You're right, it wouldn't work. Mainly because the media makes headlines with any study that's different without getting or publishing the other side of the story. My chiropractor at one point asked me if I'd seen a study (sorry, can't remember what it was). I had and it obviously leaned in one direction and he was absolutely furious over the way the study had been set up. Lay people have no way of knowing that and the media doesn't present the other side.

Good morning everybody. Elizabeth isn't interested in eating yet so she has to stay in the hospital for several more days. She has an IV in the top of her head. Daughter will stay with her in a courtesy room. I read a book to her. She was asleep!

are you running windows xp or 7? usually when a legit program installs, it installs a folder on your start button somewhere, and in that folder, there's often an "uninstall" option.

failing that, there is the control panel, where you can uninstall programs.
