Just flew over to the Radio Flyer Website They really are asking 70 bucks for this.

Although woots pictures give the bike more of a creme colour than a White colour. hmmm.

Excellent tricycle for the money. My son has been going around on his for the last two years (2nd birthday present, he's 4 in 2 weeks). It's held up beautifully.

I had something like this when I was a kid! I am a little worried though that the seat seems to be held on by a thin metal rod.. does anyone know how stable this trike is? Can it take a beating?

MMM, In the video posted , the trike had a push rod. I see some other models have these, I suppose could add something to like that to make Dad's job easier... ;-) Liked the mom telling Dad not to prod the kid, hee hee

Yes. And the pin is pretty robust. Have not had any problems with the trike in two years.

Some people may dislike the fact that it has spokes, which can catch little feet, so always, always, make sure shoes are worn when riding.

I don't believe this version comes with the push rod.

I had this trike as a kid... It was pretty durable back then. The reviews over at Amazon mostly point to it being durable, but easily tippable. I saw one review that mentioned it not holding up so well, but being easily fixed. A lot of reviews stated that although 2 to 5 is age recommendations, even those kids in the top percentiles at age two had troubles reaching the ground. They recommended using for a three year old up. Another recommendation is to tighten the bolt VERY tight on both the seat and handlebars so they stay aligned. The bell sounds great according to many.
As a child I loved this trike, and I do remember it being tippy and somewhat wobbly, but I think that helped me transition to a two wheel, as I learned about proper turning radii and balance. Once I figured it out it wasn't such a big deal anymore. The double step on the back is great for trick riding. ;O

My daughter tested this trike out at Toys R Us last weekend. We couldn't get her off the thing! She is 3, but a little tall for her age, and it was a perfect fit for her to grow with the next couple years. I may have to snatch one of these up!

My daughter has one. At age two, she is nearly three feet tall, but this trike is still a little large for her; she has trouble reaching both pedals at the same time. She'll grow into it, of course, and if you don't have one yet, the price is great!

We have a smaller Radio Flyer one that fits her better (two sets of grandparents, two trikes, apparently), but it has more plastic-like wheels and does not seem as if would hold up to much road wear.
This trike's wheels seem solid - now your kid can go out and burn rubber!

We've had one of these for 6 years, it's gone through a lot of use from all our kids. The big kids stand on the back and push it around scooter style, the little ones pedal around with bigger kids or baby dolls sitting on the back. It's sturdy and has held up great to pretty heavy use outdoors on the patio. I would have no hesitation about buying another one, it's a great trike and will last a long time. Of course, The only reason I won't be buying one is because ours is still in such great shape!
