See how there are holes cut out in the cover? How it makes the characters pop? That's what makes the book die-cut.
I'd also like to add that I noticed these books were 8"x11" and I thought "No Way. I remembered these being much bigger." I guess not, I grabbed one of my older ones (non die-cut but same style) and they are 8"11" they were just so much bigger than my other kids books I had growing up.
A book this big is really nice and I it's just great to have such huge illustrations. Your kid will love these books. I know I did.
