LOVE IT! INsta Buy

Oh, Kids Woot! Why do you list such an astronomical price just to make us think we're saving so much money? It's available many other places for $27-$30, not $60. We all love you, Woot! Why can't you just be honest with us and tell us that we're only going to save a couple of bucks over other places? These tents are great - they sell themselves. We don't need to be duped into buying it with inflated savings.

Did you hover over the "List Price" label? It says:

List Price is the original sticker price, the MSRP, or our own best attempt to find the full price online. It's mostly worthless, so we rely on Wooters like you to post the best price comparisons in our forum. You'll be the hero.

That said, did you find this one online anywhere? I couldn't.

1. I understand the retail price complaint. Not new.
2. No offense, but I haven't seen this exact model anywhere, either. Similar, yes, but not the same. I'll put up the froogle for similar tents, and yes, starts at $27 without shipping (and majority in the $30's), but is this "apples and oranges" or a valid comparison (and is $19.99 good enough for savings for some?).

I thought mom took over the tent to hide from the kids! She's got wine bottles in the carry bag!

I took one last try, this is what I could come up with:
When the site was selling it (this doesn't seem to be available through the site, only found through a web search), previous product webpage with a few more photos and $49.99 I'm guessing last fall:
https://www.gigatent.com/artclub/index.asp

I don't know if the normal 3 year Gigatent warranty for their tents can be obtained from them instead of the 90 day woot warranty:
http://www.gigatent.com/warranty_info.asp
If nothing else, you have contact info for replacement parts.

Weird part is that they are closed Saturday and open Sunday (this must be a conspiracy, I tell ya):
http://www.gigatent.com/contact_us.asp

That's all I can dig up. Maybe someone waking up can help, including past experience with the tent. Sorry I couldn't find more.

Size perspective? Y'all are always asking for something to give you some idea of the size. Now you know.

The writeup today freaked me out too much to buy this thing.

kids love these things. If you don't have little ones (under 8 or so) this would be a great, inexpensive buy for a niece or nephew, or the bosses kid.

I was thinking this might be fun for my kids. I have 3. There's Gracie, my little applehead chihuahua & Brandi, my little dachsund/chihuahua/miniature pinscher mix, & then there's Tara, my chubby little dachsund/chihuahua mix. I think they'd have a blast going through the tube like on agility courses. I could put it outside on my covered patiio & watch them play. What do you think? Will they have it torn down within an hour or will it stand up to the challenge? Of course they really don't care about the crayolas. But the tent with attached tube looks like it'd be a lot of fun for for them. Any comments? :~]

I bought this for my 2 year old grand daughter and she absolutely loves it it keeps her occupied crawling through the tunnel part & her mom just loves the fact that she can scribble on the bottom part instead of the walls in the house ...he he he

I bought this only to find the fiberglass poles and crayons missing. Couldn't set it up after getting my son excited. Letting the manufacturer know is no easy process, this model number does not even exist on their website for warranty replacing of parts. Let's see if they get the stuff to me in the next 10 days at least.

Poles and crayons were missing from ours too! What a bummer! Trying to find out what length poles would work with this.

I had the same problem. I just called the support number in the manual and they knew about the problem and said they would send me the poles and crayons.

I just emailed my info to customerservice@gigatent.com but their support number is 1-877-836-8701. They did not ask when I purchased it even though the manual says it only covers parts (even missing) for 14-days.

Mine had the poles and crayons, but the tent itself seems to be old and fragile. The pole pockets have white wear marks simply from inserting the poles the two times we have had this set up, and one of the pole pockets is already punctured. I'm disappointed. My son loves his "home," but I don't think it will last long.
