Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I've always disliked the portmanteau "staycation". Now masturcation is something I can get behind.

The wife and kid will be on the beach, I on the other hand will continue to come here and work 50 hours a week.

I have twelve weeks of leave available and must use five weeks of time by August 31 or I lose it.

My official vacation is a week spent relaxing at a resort in the Catskills (upstate NY) where there is little I have to do other than present myself at the dining hall for breakfast and dinner (and that only because I want to eat).

I'm taking Fridays off starting June 29 (through September). This will mostly be spent at home.

The last week of August will be spent at home and ends with me taking daughter #1 back to college.

I'll also be spending at least a week (total) driving around with daughter #2 visiting a few colleges in NY State. She is working on finalizing her school list today, but I already know I'll be heading to Geneseo (again) as well as several more local (to New York City) schools.

Going to Turkey to visit the in-laws. More of a duty than a vacation. Just hoping I don't get food poisoning.

I've said this here before, I think, but just in case... As an adult I've never has a real vacation. Not in the sense that you get on a plane, go somewhere, and stay there for a week. When I have had the time, I haven't had the money and when I've had the money, I haven't had the time.
