Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Luckily, they are too far apart in age. My son is 23 and my daughter is 8.

But she gets things he would have loved just because we're in better shape financially than when he was little. I wouldn't blame him if he did get a little irritated. He SAYS he's fine with it but my fear is that someday he'll write a book about how unfair it all was and I'll know the truth.

Now ask if the younger kids were jealous of the older kids. Yes, they couldn't understand why the older sibs had more privileges, like staying up later, larger allowances, new clothes rather than hand-me-downs.

As the oldest of six through a hilarious procession of marriages, I decided (and my wife agreed) that one was enough. Feeling good about that decision.

Only one kid, but each of the cats is quite jealous of the others, especially when it comes to who's getting lap time.

Funny how currently on the kids.woot poll there is a 25% no kids here... I guess we are all kids at heart (or with toys).

I say that she wasn't jealous that I noticed but she would scoop him up and drop him on the floor but I don't think she was necessarily jealous. I think maybe she just didn't like him. I couldn't figure out, since she didn't like to hear him cry, why she would do that and make him cry. They're 3 years apart.

*I* have FIVE Quality Posts! no, seriously...how did that happen?!

My older siblings were always jealous of me because I was the coolest.

Ah yes, I can still hear my parents say, "Why can't you be awesome like your brother?"

I definitely see the younger kids more jealous of the older kids. They get to go to school, do after school activities, 4H etc. I haven't seen it much the other way at all. My kids couldn't be more thrilled with each other as far as siblings go, it's scary how much they like each other. They are all 2.5 years apart.

My sister and I couldn't hardly stand each other growing up. We get on alright now but we aren't that close. So I really believe we got some lucky sibling lotto or something, but it doesn't reflect my or my husband's sibling relationships at all.

I have twins - none of your options work for me.

In all seriousness, that kind of behavior can sometimes indicate a potential for extremely serious issues down the road. If I had noticed my child doing something like this to a younger child or pet I would have gotten her to a qualified professional as soon a possible.
