Wasn't that the title of a 1980's futuristic pr0n?

Yipee, I see myself firing over the heads of some annoying squirrels! No more giant birdseed bills. Well I can believe, right?

i got one of these last time around, it is a total waste of money. I shot maybe 2 rounds out of it, then off to the basement. don't waste your money.

Why the hell would a KID need a toy like this? Who would buy this for a kid?

It takes 3 HOURS for the ammo to hydrate and become ready for shooting. 3 hours?!?!

If I had a daughter could I shoot her laptop with this to teach her a lesson? I'm all about teaching lessons.

This thing looks beast. Like a cross between a nerf gun and super soaker. Too bad it has so many negative reviews...

Certainly. Everything a parent does is a lesson for their children.

Ummm ... what lesson would getting her laptop wet be teaching?

I'd be so "in for one" of these EXCEPT the amount of ammo (2000 cts) aren't enough to keep my son (aged 9) happy for more than a day or two... Now, if the ammo amount was more like 50,000 then I'd be "in for 3" (him and the neighbor kids would have a blast)... As it stands, after a couple a days, when ammo has run out of these suckas, the gun will undoubtly be tossed aside collecting dust... I wouldn't know where to find replacement ammo aside from online, and that would just be a time waster, waiting for extra ammo to ship, and putting more money into this sucka toy... CONCLUSION: Buy this if you're a sucka who wants a sucka toy!

For anyone interested in toys like this that are very good quality and won't run the risk of a child "shooting an eye out" you should buy a WowWee LightStrike toy rifle/gun (no extra attachments are needed (although dozens are commercialized), just buy only the guns). The only bad thing is the cost of a rifle is a bit steep, $29.99 to $39.99. They run on batteries, but I put rechargeable batteries in ours, and they last fairly long. With a replacement set of batteries recharging on standby, we've never run out of fun time. They usually come with one "LightStrike Target", but aside from kiddie style "target practice", they are worthless, as the guns themselves have automatic "laser like" displays on them which indicate when you've been hit, and how many "lives" you have left. And as embarassing as it is to admit, my husband and I have gotten into playing with them with our kids, but only "indoors"... We let our kids play with the neighborhood kids (who also have these) to play "outdoors"... Highly fun, and much safer than "nerf" like shooting toys (we've got a ton of these too, and we just got tired of losing and then re-buying the extra bullets/cartridges). The WowWee LightStrikes are well worth the price!

The reviews are fine.

Down sides to me are replacement ammo and the way it fires.

It is NOT trigger activated. You pull the slide back and it fires on release of this spring action, more like a sling shot.

*farty sound*

It likely is fun, but realistically, without the longevity of nerf, and how they take a beating and how you find darts down the sofa cushions forever more because you can use them indoors, this is going to sit around gathering dust after one summer.

Nearly, but not quite.
