Birth to 24 months is laughable - more like 4-8, with some margin of error for your particular winter. I think my kids spent an average of three months in these things (different brand), but they were well worthwhile as a transition from swaddling to sleepers. Maybe if they didn't know any better, you could use them longer, but once introduced to sleepers, that was that for ours.

The zip from top to bottom is huge, since you can change a diaper without removing the sack.

Good concept, but not going to work with my daughter. She toss and turn too much. Besides, she hates anything that restrains her movements.

My daughter is nearly 10 months now and she is still using her sleepsacks. Once we stopped swaddling, we started using these. She typically wears pajamas or a body suit underneath. The sleepsack ensures that she stays covered up safely during the night. Even now that she is becoming more mobile, she can still stand, crawl, and cruise in her sleepsack without a problem. I highly recommend these to anyone with a young child.

These are awesome to have... I would buy them if I didn't already own 5-10 of these. Keeps the baby warm without worries of covering mouth etc... our kids know when they have one of these on, it's time to sleep.

I'm so glad that they make these. This will make introducing my kids to Snuggies so much easier. These are the wearable blanket gateway drug.

Return of the sleepsacks!

If your kids are still cold, it's not because Woot isn't trying!

I just bought one of these at Marshall's for the same price, but didn't have to pay for shipping or wait around for it to be delivered.

I bought these for my sister's one child and she loved them. In fact she just had a new little one who could use these as well. Her only issue was his little hands would get cold, so you should put on the little antiscratch mittens for your little one at night if they are still very tiny.

I have a 10 month old who is still wearing a sleepsack and will be for awhile longer (Halo size M still fits, although not for too long). She wears a footed sleeper and then the sleepsack...it is great to not worry about a blanket falling off!

Highly recommend!

My son never liked wearing blankets and would wake up cold because he'd kick them off. Sleep sacks are a great way for them to stay warm without removing their ability to kick and move during the night.

Now to convince him at three years old that blankets are our friends.

There is a discussion on Amazon about the zippers on these. Halo said they redesigned the zippers on these because they were getting caught on toddlers' teeth and pulling them out. There is a picture of the old zipper added to the product description. There is no hole in the top of the new zippers. Woot's picture looks like the old design. Maybe they could check the zipper and let us know?

Approved by the hip dysplasia institute. Are these for babies or puppies?

That's concerning. I went in for 2, I'd hate to be the cause of my kid being gumby

My son is 19 months old (about 28 pounds) and we still use sleep sacks when it gets cold, though we have now switched to the version with foot holes. The sleep sacks help me sleep better, because I don't get up multiple times on a cold night to make sure he's still covered.

We used this kind of sleep sack (both the fleece and a couple of lighter materials) from the time we stopped swaddling until he learned to walk. They were great for my active sleeper.

Three kids of mine have loved their sleep sacks until they out-grew them! My youngest is happily wearing the footed ones (genius, I say!). They don't restrict movement at all -- all of my children could stand up wearing them (even before the footed ones). HIGHLY recommend, and a great price! Halo makes some of the best ones and they really wear well (my three kids and passed down to other families).

RE: Zippers -- they zip from the top to bottom. All of mine are 'old style' zippers and I've never even seen my kids eating them (the zipper pull tucks into the fabric by design -- at the very bottom of the sack), much less ever seen one stuck on a tooth. :-)

I directly attribute all three of my children sleeping through the night by the time they were 2 months old to the use of these amazing products. We have 2 sleeveless, one light cotton with the swaddle wings and one microfleece and then 2 of the Carter's microfleece sacks with sleeves that zip up to the top. They wash well and have lasted for several months of wear per child. I have not needed them larger than the medium size, as we switched to footed microfleece pajamas when they began crawling. I just bought two more at this great price becase they make excellent gifts.

Our child was born with a type of hip dysplasia that developed through how he was breech. It's something that either a harness or sometimes just the bones solidifying fixes. I would guess that the Halo Sleep Sack can help with it because they can't thrash around as much and, if your child has to wear a harness, it is more accommodating to medical harnesses.

Still using our sleep sack at 19 months, currently in size L. Wish they had XL size on this woot!
She still rolls around too much for a blanket to keep her covered and she's gotten quite adept at walking in hers.

A blanket is a type of bedding, generally speaking, a large piece of cloth, intended to keep the user warm, especially while sleeping. Blankets are distinguished from sheets by their thickness and purpose; the thickest sheet is still thinner than the lightest blanket. Blankets are generally used for warmth, while sheets are for hygiene, comfort and aesthetics. Blankets are subdivided into many types, including quilts, duvets, and comforters, depending on their thickness, construction and/or fill material. Electric blankets are heated by electricity. Blankets were traditionally made of wool because of wool's warmth, breathability and natural fire-dormantant properties, while sheets were made of cotton or linen, which are less irritating to the skin. Nowadays, synthetic fibers are frequently used for both. Throw blankets are smaller blankets, often in decorative colors and patterns, that can be used for extra warmth outside of bed. Blankets are sometimes used as comfort objects by small children.
