I gave lip balm as Christmas gifts this year to several friends. A Facebook friend makes Bacon-flavored lip balm, and it was a big hit!

My father went to the ER on Christmas Day with blood in his urine. Today, the bleeding has stopped, and they are going to send him home. I haven't heard the results of the tests yet.

Hope your dad is feeling better. Your dad is just three years older than my dad.

My dad seems to have calmed down. We are going to make him a walking path in the field across the road. That way he can walk safely.

My father is doing just fine now. The urologist found a lesion in my father's bladder and cauterized it. The doc said that this is not unusual in elderly patients. Thank God it was not more serious.

When tivo failed to record an episode I looked on Hulu and the show wasn't there. That was a few months ago. I did however find it on youtube. Just got lucky since only a few shows were there and mostly just a few clips from others.

My father is in the hospital again: pneumonia and staph infection. They can't locate the source of the infection yet. They are going to try to remove the ventilator today.

Can I add a quick and vague request as well. My uncle spent all day in the hospital on the 8th, my aunt didn't tell anyone until she was finally home (even though my uncle spent the night). Then he was released, it was lung pain and maybe related to not using appropriate protection while welding and painting. Then this morning he was back checked in in severe pain.

I really don't know what it is or if it's serious, but it obviously hurts, so some comfort for him, he's over 80 and as much as we don't like to think about it, healing tends to take so much longer in an older body.

My father is still in ICU and on the ventilator. His fever is reducing, so it looks like they are using the correct antibodies to fight the infection (although, they still don't know exactly where the infection is). I'm hoping he can get off the ventilator soon.
