a consumer night vision product? in my lifetime? as a children's toy? whaaaaat?
Amazon
Won't this promote Laser Envy?
I'm not seeing the switch to change it from stun to kill...
$39.99 at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Blue-Lightyear-NightVision-Gauntlet/dp/B003M0P5PU... No reviews there, but my kid is surely going to love me forever for this one
Does it fit kids with adult size arms?
They are a terillium-carbonic alloy, and I can fly.

Even though it has the same model number, the picture of the one on Amazon differs in a few ways than the one offered here. I wonder why?
I would get one, but I'm going into Tashi Station tomorrow to pick up some power converters, right after I help Uncle Owen get some new droids.
Just what we need...our kids coming into our room in the middle of the night with night vision. Does it come with a video recorder, youtube upload instructions and samples of blackmail forms? ^_^

Does it come with a switch you flip and begin speaking Spanish? Does it run on crystallic fusion, or double A's?
This is so cool. Just introduced my kiddo to Toy Story a month ago. Anything for "Cool Daddy" props is good in my book.
Anyone see this in action? Are the monsters going to cause my daughter to wake up screaming at 3am?
To infinity and Beyond!!

I bought his for my 4 year old son for Christmas from Toys R Us. He loves it. It fits him great. It can fit an adults arm too, but good look getting it off. Only problem is my son is lefty so the buttons are backwards for him.
Toy Story 3 by Wikipedia Wikipedia
we got Blue Tinted glasses like "Wild Planet Spy Gear Night Goggles" - The kids today are spoiled...
This item is not on Digital Blue's website even though they warranty this for 1 year.
Hm, this is very tempting for my Toy Story obsessed 4 year old. However, I have to debate on whether he needs an advantage over me in the dark...

I have a lefty as well...little freak of nature! He is very artistic and very emotional...and yours?

Speaking as one of the accused...yes. Yes we are. (sometimes)
One more gargleblaster it really IS night vision technology. I was guessing some RED LEDs and a hokey hologram, but no. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zhD92XMBL0 -Jim
If they made it for both lefties and righties, you could paint em red and gold and also be iron man. Too bad it doesn't shoot nerf missles too.....
It's cool and all but I'm afraid it'll put an eye out!! "Not today Zerg!!"
Some of the best posts today on kids.woot! Great Toy Story references :-)

Alright then Mr. Light Beer, prove it!
"Space heroes aren’t whiners. Unless you’re a Jedi, of course." Blasphemy! After all, did Luke Skywalker whine when his Uncle Owen told him to clean up those droids... and.... oh, right. ... But, but! Did Anakin Skywalker whine like a little paranoid android to pEdamame when he felt he was being... disrespected.... oh, right. *sigh*
Every time my 4 year old son passes this at the toy store, he puts it on and tells me he wants it. What a great deal and $20 cheaper than what I thought we'd end up paying for it. It loud and I'm not sure I'll like hearing it but I know he'll love playing with it and pretending to be Buzz Lightyear.
the biggest problem I see with this is that the screen is on the side, the camera is on the front... this means that in order to see the screen you have to be pointing the camera to the side with your arm across your body. Does anyone else see the problem in this? Yes you can see in the dark, but only to the left lol

My son would love this, too bad we're broke right now. I hope Woot has it again in the near future.

The makers have obviously noticed the issue too. If you look at the current version (see Amazon link), the screen is rotated 45 deg. making its use more natural. Also, the lights have been rearranged (from a line into a triagle). The red control-panel light has changed too. Not sure if there are any changes to the internals.
My son has to pretend to shoot his lazors at me. Now he can pretend in style. Thanks woot! And with that purchase my square should go green!
Did anyone else notice the really creepy image on the screen in the close up picture?
What is the resolution on the display, and how many fps is the camera?
such a great toy for boys! [Mod note: link removed]
