when woot changed its format a little while ago, one of the main complaints was the lack of contrast between text and background on the main woot site; i think the background was light green and the text was a slightly darker green. they improved it a little, but it's still not as good as it could be. you could be suffering from low contrast reading.

no chop contests for a while now. they still haven't posted contest results from the last few contests, either. contest participation seemed to wither away, mabe because the shirt.woot derbies had much larger payouts.

they killed it off. They had too many other things to do, and no willingness to let me and Shan completely take it over. They paid the winners of the final contests, or I was told they had taken care of that. I doubt monkey winners will ever get monkeys, though.

I was led to believe that they might bring it back in a different format, but I'm skeptical.

I never liked the t-shirt voting process. It is biased toward early entries.
