The Ref with Dennis Leary and Kevin Spacey. It addresses all the truly important things about the holidays.

It's not a movie but we all watch the Doctor Who Christmas Special for that year or watch one from the past.

Went with Elf. I don't like A Christmas Story; it always struck me as a bit nihilistic; this is not the kind of Christmas I would enjoy or find funny. Elf is magical.

But Mickey's Christmas Carol is a nice, light retelling of the classic tale.

How could you leave "A Charlie Brown Christmas" off the list? It is the oldest continuously running animated special out there. That's my vote!

A Muppet Christmas Carol has been our go-to movie, but this year I finally saw The Santa Clause and can't believe we've never watched it before!

To watch with the kid would be Charlie Brown Christmas. My favorite movie that I doubt I could get her to sit through would be It's a Wonderful Life.

It's relatively new-ish, but it keeps their attention the entire time every year it's been on unlike the classics.
