In for 3.
I hope to get something highly inappropriate since I'm one of THOSE parents.

eta: I ordered based on AA sizing, If I get Anvil, my kids won't fit in them.

Can't you choose the same avatar as I'm using? I don't have facial hair - I just have facial HORNS ;)

I think everyone has their own random avatars to choose from based on woots assumption of your gender.

I wish I knew how to upload pics, I did a screen print so I could share my lovely avatars....However, I will describe instead. I have one crazy green zombie avatar, which I will not use. This one. And 3 fat male avatars with lots and lots of facial hair (beards and goatees...obviously male with lots of facial hair). Darn it woot! I am a FEMALE!!! please let me be a female.

K4

My daughter is a 5T and the K6 fits ok, but a bit loose.

Last time I did this I ended up with 3 horrible designs that I had never seen before here and that my neither my kids nor any kids I know would ever wear.

So, good luck!

Watch the length now too if you develop a habit of purchasing - these should be all on the old blanks, and on my son - wearing a 4T now, his K4 fit well. BUT, on the new blanks, they are noticeably shorter and the K4 is a belly shirt on him.

I'm not ultra-conservative, but I will not let my 3yo wear anything with weapons or violence depicted (I'd let him wear Vampires!), and I am running about 50% success on my random shirts for him... I figure if I'm in for 3, at $5 each, then 50% success still makes them less expensive than the new daily price. And, they are way cooler than most of the kids clothes out there....

[crossing my fingers that the Woot! gods will find my son a Couldn't Care Less Bear this time around...I know, it's a longshot]

Holy crap. I would stop a random kid in public to take his picture if he had that shirt on.

Agreed. I thought something fishy was going on because I used to be able to order the size near their age and the last few times it didn't work that way. Didn't realize they changed the shirts. The WS don't fit me like they used to, but maybe that's just me. ;-)

I have a small 11 year old that wears a YM or YL in Ts, but the K12 looks tiny on him. I've discovered the WS fits him much better. Also have an avg size 9 year old that I was buying K10 for, but now he is wearing his brother's K12s.

Thanks for the response on size. Ordered 3 for my son. Now, I'm just assuming (since it's not stated) that the $5 shipping does not get the shirts to me overnight like on shirt.woot?

Unfortunately, no. The $5.00 shipping is for regular SmartPost delivery. Sorry about that!

My son is in a 3T mainly as well, and the K4 shirts fit him perfectly after a wash. These randoms should be on the AA blanks as well.

Any suggestions on a 3 year old that wears a 4T even a small fitting 5T? I am concerned that a K6 might be a bit big, but a K4 sound like it may be a belly shirt based on the previous posts. My little man has enough belly shirts.. he's looking forward to some midrift covering clothing! ;)

I'd go with the K6. It will be a better fit after a wash, in my opinion. He could always grow into it, right?

My daughter is 3 and wears 5t (mostly) and some 4T. I bought a K6 shirt and it was a little loose, but still fit ok. Based on how loose it is she will be able to wear it next year too.

was planning to buy 6 shirts but needed the ladies medium (for 10 yr old to fit), went over to shirts.woot, and they as has been said were twice the price, $6.66 thus $43.26 with tax, instead of $27.04, tax, shipping. Guess I will wait for that $$$

I just bought three and three... there is a $5.40 difference... and no, the amount does not favor the adult shirts, it is cheaper to get the kids shirts. Of course, if I were to pay the $5 for overnight shipping, the price would be almost even.

Yeahhhhhhhh ... for people asking about the appropriateness of the designs, my kiddo got these from a previous random sale:

(comment: very cool b/c I have the similar fractal tree one. no issues here.)

(comment: like it but it required some convincing that guns aren't allowed in school, not even in print form.)

(comment: lost this argument because no guns in the design, but may have received weird looks from teachers and other parents. oh well!)

Crossing my fingers for good designs. I am a bit picky about what my son wears, but he has several cousins with less picky parents around the same size. But I decided when I bought three adult randoms last time, I would try the kid's one if it came up again.

Okay, some of you are posting pictures or links to past random shirt "prizes". Where do you find such things?

whitlock929

quality posts: 1 Private Messages whitlock929

Why would anyone buy less than 3? As often the case with woot the $5 s& h you have to pay whether you buy 1 or 3 makes it too irresponsible to not buy 3. Here for instance, 1 shirt is $8.33 not so hot but buying 3... $15 = $5 per shirt.

I remember buying 3 flying woot screaming monkeys one woot off for my 2 year old daughter because of this same principle. 1 was $8 total 3 was $10 total. I put the 2 extras away for when the rubber bands broke. Still have one left

This is my 4th or 5th kids random. Last 3 rocked got Boba Fetch, long cell division, and a Mario related. Of the 15 shirts only one was unappropriate it was the one with Superman flying out of a phone booth wearing Wonder Woman's suit and her waving his suit.

Best thing to do is to measure a shirt that fits him and order something a bit bigger than that. The sizing chart is on the main page.

That said, my hunch is to go to a MS as there be a bit of shrinkage and he's a growing boy.

It’s time for another round of Woot! Clue! to guess the next product up for sale.

CLUE: Coming at 11pm CST!
I will be answering questions within your post rather than replying.

Style is 20 Questions. Ask Yes/No questions and I'll answer. ONE question limit per post.
I want to bring the game back to the true play of 20 questions where you ask questions that help narrow down the possibilities for the item. That means your questions should start broad and then narrow in as more answers and clues become available.

NEW: The following questions will not be answered until noted:
• Sold on Woot previously: Not allowed. Will not be answered.
• Brand name starts with a-k, l-z, f-g, etc.: Not allowed. Will not be answered.
• Pricing info: Not allowed. Will not be answered.
• Random guesses about the product not related to the clues, questions, and answers at hand may be ignored
• You cannot answer with just a link to another site. I don’t have time to follow links to verify. Give the name and include the links if you want but no link only answers.

Most often the answer requires the manufacturer, name, model, size, or other pertinent information for the product.

INFO: Join us at about an hour before the next sale launches (11pm CST) for a game of Woot!
Clue! where y’all try to guess the next product that will be for sale on a Woot site. The game ends at 11:55pm before RSS feeds and Tweets go out about the sales.

The game will move around but you can always find it by checking the Quality Posts on the Woot! main page (Discussion box). It will always be announced there.

ELIGIBILITY: Everyone plays. You can be the correct guess once a week. You can play all the time but only guess if you are eligible, please. Share the fun!

EDIT: Wow, record game! Congrats to pinchcat!

FYI: We are having storms here. So if I suddenly stop answer questions, it probably means I lost power. I'll try to post an update on my iPad but if that happens, the game is canceled.

Hrm... Woot needs to sell a UPS soon, and give TT one as a sample.

We are supposed to get that stuff mostly between noon and 3pm tomorrow... I will be out driving in it (although they say possibly major flooding, then I won't...)

(They really are not that expensive, you should have one, even if its just a 550va one for $49 at Fry's, it'll give you time to shut down your apps and power down properly.).

I hope both of you play it safe. I know it's her job, but I'm a bit uneasy working with electrical stuff during storms, UPS or not.

Most of the nasty red stuff on the radar has gone off to the east now. Should be fine. Just rain showers and a few rumbles now and then.

My personal experience with this stuff is that brownouts are more damaging than anything else. With that being said if lightning hits close enough to your house, even with surge protectors and UPS, even with the electronics OFF, the lightning will take them out. I've had several customers whose equipment was off when lightning hit their house and everything on that wall, even things in fancy power strips, got fried.

When I was a kid lightning took out my Amiga 500, it was a sad day. Our renters insurance only gave me 1/5th of the value of it and we didn't have much money to begin with. Now when I am really paranoid, I unplug everything from the wall.
