Looks like woot lucked out....as in the tornado wasn't one of those mile wide monsters that takes out the entire town.

Damn big enough to destroy whatever it hits.

So a reasonable cost of living of offset by tornados? Storms you can do nothing to protect yourself from?

Dang.

"Mount Rainier is currently listed as a Decade Volcano, or one of the 16 volcanoes with the greatest likelihood of causing great loss of life and property if eruptive activity resumes. If Mt. Rainier were to erupt as powerfully as Mount St. Helens did in its May 18, 1980 eruption, the effect would be cumulatively greater, because of the far more massive amounts of glacial ice locked on the volcano compared to Mount St. Helens and the vastly more heavily populated areas surrounding Rainier. Lahars from Rainier pose the most risk to life and property, as many communities lie atop older lahar deposits. According to USGS, about 150,000 people live on top of old lahar deposits of Rainier. Not only is there much ice atop the volcano, the volcano is also slowly being weakened by hydrothermal activity. According to Geoff Clayton, a geologist with a Washington State Geology firm, RH2 Engineering, a repeat of the Osceola mudflow would destroy Enumclaw, Orting, Kent, Auburn, Puyallup, Sumner and all of Renton. Such a mudflow might also reach down the Duwamish estuary and destroy parts of downtown Seattle, and cause tsunamis in Puget Sound and Lake Washington."

Hi, guy, how are you doing? I have been trying to rid my house of everything I don't use, need, or want. I would sell it and move to a smaller one, but by the time I did that, I would lose money and not be in such a convenient spot. Unfortunately, seems you have no choice. So sorry.

But it wasn't a surprise. They knew it was going to blow.

I also seems that you can build for most earthquakes. Japan didn't have much damage from the quake.

Hurricanes, you know they are coming. New Orleans relatives leave before every one.

Tidal waves are even worse than tornados.

They're fine. Maisy was with me or under the bed. Don't know where the cat was but he appeared after it quietened down. They both got baths this morning so the cat was a bit put out with me. They're both very fluffy now though.

Hi everybody! Anyone heard from ice? Looks like everyone else is ok?

Edit: the storms are supposed to hit around 10 here, but they won't be near as bad as Dallas. Might have hail though. Which will suck as neither niece nor I have covered parking :-(

We made it safely here. Just a bit of rain, although the sky was scary and the siriens went of. We just had to shelter in place for 30 minutes while it passed. I think the nearest bad stuff was about 10 miles from here. It was much closer to Daj I think.

In the end only kindness matters

I was very happy that my car was old when we got the hail last year.

I have a bunch of dings.
A mile over they got dents. The hail was big enough to break the car windows there.
