Could be better...could be worse. A few health-ish issues have presented themselves. The 2nd year is always said to be the hardest for us, so it's kind of annoying that I'm getting a few things tacked onto that. But I've made either 4 or 5 novel compounds (not sure if the last one worked yet or not) so far, and I'm getting ready to start to be able to do some cool research after prep'ing for it for 2 months.

How are things going for you?

That sounds awesome! I'm glad things in the lab are working out. Sorry to hear about the health issues, though. I hope they are the kind of thing that will pass quickly and not be a lingering continuous thing.

Getting into the groove of school stuff for the kids. Working two jobs, applied for a third, but there is a lot of competition on it. Thinking of applying for a different third job, but it wouldn't have the option for insurance... not sure I want to work 60 hours a week with no insurance options. But the other job would help Orc if I learned the skill.... so I'm debating it - gotta decide if I'll apply soon though.

No news on the job other than 60 people applied for it. Supposed to start interviews in another week and then they are going to make a decision in the next 2 after that.

Well, my knee definitely started contributing to my problems, but there is a bit more to it. Docs are scratching their heads a little bit, but I have one who has seen me several times since I've been up here that actually took the time to listen to me completely, and she's trying to treat the underlying cause instead of just managing symptoms. I'm hoping things get sorted out soon. The stress form the work load definitely isn't helping, considering things have prevented me from physically being able to get stuff done I needed to do.

As for the knee, I wasn't in an accident, but my knee had a slow progression to basically being unusable. I can walk on it again, but I have to be very careful with it. Physical therapy definitely helped out considerably with it though, I think primarily the knee brace gave my knee enough support it could finally start the healing process.

No, I'm having enough trouble balancing my days right now. The job I did apply for has more doable hours and I'll take it if it's offered.

Working on cosplay outfits for GeekGirlCon. The kids should be finished by the end of the day. Trying to work out exactly what I want to do for my outfit, and Orc's, although male Jedi pretty much have a standard look. Thinking of going as Callista, not so much because she's my favorite jedi, but since she is me.

Oh, I haven't read the nuclear physics books, but they are on top of my low bookcase The cure I posted on my blog wasn't for cancer, it was for mito! Cancer is more Joe's thing I think. (Did I tell you all there is actually a doctor who got a grant to study part of what I proposed? I didn't get any kickback, but I am soooo happy it's being researched!)

Martha Stewart could only hope to be good enough to clean my floors!

I do try to be a useful member of society, even if there is no money in it.

I decided not to do the job that would help Orc. I think it may become a reoccuring opportunity and it will get easier for me to do if Ver3 is older and less dependent on mommy for things like nap (which may happen by next term, we'll see). It would be a job learning to be a captionist for lectures and video lectures.

The con is in Seattle, I believe one of the mods is going. Love Seattle, maybe we can network for a job while we are there (not with the con, it's non-profit all volunteer, but with some of the people coming to the con.) If nothing else I think Ver1 will be inspired by some of the speakers and events.

I'll be taking this last post for the moment. Gotta go cut and form the hood for Leia's dress.

I just pulled the closest to an all-nighter that I've had in quite a while. I've made it such an effort to get as much rest as possible so I can function optimally. "Today's" presentation should be fun. My grammar and ability to pronounce words goes out the window when I'm tired. Lol.
