I know I'm late (laid down with Ver3 for a nap, and he slept, I didn't )

Anyway, I grew up with a side by side and we almost never had anything in the freezer but ice cubes. All the freezer stuff was in the upright freezer in the garage. Then we had the freezer on tops in the apartments, didn't like that so much. I'm short it was hard to get things in and out of the freezer without stuff falling on you. Stuff in the back of the freezer might as well be in another country, and the milk in the fridge would get too cold, but that wasn't so bad, I actually like ice in my milk.

This place has a freezer on the bottom with pull out drawer. It's been great, the kids get their own ice packs and the few frozen things we cook with regularly are in here (as well as the open ice cream). Everything else is in the freezer outside - which is an upright since our chest freezer died - I like it much better, easier to organize!)

I wish we had an ice maker. Only downside to freezer on bottom is that the kids can't get their own beverages, because the bottom part of the fridge is the crisper drawers.

oh - and I got a PROMOTION today! Went from supervisor of no one, to manager of no one.

most importantly it puts me on a level playing field with my cohorts, which is accurate as we are all about even.

got a raise too, and we also got our yearly bonus, which wasn't too shabby.

And I'm not going in tomorrow, although I have to work some from home.

Got a baby shower to attend this weekend. Friend is having twin girls. Oh my!

Thank you all for your good thoughts. We took tomorrow off so we could drive down ad make it for the visitation. The funeral is on Saturday morning and we expect family from Kansas to stay in our town Saturday night.
