My m-i-l unexpectedly informed me she needed me to take her out yesterday so my planned chores never got done. I'm on a tight schedule as my daughter and son-in-law will be here soon so I decided to use up some comp. time and get some crap done at home. I'm in a pissy mood anyway so it's probably for the best

Morning.

Got everything that won't go in a car moved yesterday, despite not being able to pick the truck up until 2 (originally planned to have it at 8). Had to shovel out the apartment and the house, and wait for storage to be cleared too.

Didn't finish unloading until 10, then dropped the truck off and crashed.

At work, but tired. Have to get a fridge.

Washer and dryer will be delivered Saturday. Hoping to get the fridge tomorrow, need to call HD and see if they'll accept a Lowe's 10% off coupon. I'm suspecting not, since it's on a model Lowe's doesn't carry, plus it's already marked way down...but $190 savings on top would be good.

uh oh need another can. I have 15 oz. Biggest can they had. I had a hard time finding it. I looked in fruit, then veggies and finally tried pie filling.

I'm sure he did. We got about 4-5 inches, that settled down to about 3 inches or so after it melted its way to stability. First part melted when it hit the ground.

A little snow - mostly sleet and freezing rain in our area.

We got snow, still getting snow. A couple of the kids were hoping to go home shortly after lunch, but school ran all day. Still under storm warning until 4am so we'll see what tomorrow holds. For once the landlord did a good job keeping the main road plowed, not so much the side roads, but I live one of the main roads (there are three independent main roads), so I don't care as much.

Unfortunately, I woke up with a headache and it hasn't gotten much better yet.

We had the birthday dinner. Daughter1 and SO had been drinking but were still able to function. They ate huge pieces of the Poof Pumpkin Cake. Daughter1 says they are starting AA tomorrow night. Wouldn't that be fabulous?? Daughter2 had a friend spend the night last night. I usually don't let her have overnights on school nights. She hit me up for it in a weak moment. The id.iots kept me awake. I am pooped.

Oh I didn't tell you? He came back yesterday! Daughter can't live without him. I have no idea how he got here. It is a 10 hour drive. He got his driver's license back (he had an unfortunate lapse of judgment driving here last time). Changed his meds and he is a new fellow. Only problem is that his car is still in impound.

Not since I got married (at least not in a way that I had any control over, that appendix thing doesn't count).

Dname - when I was in high school my dad spent more on a truck than he did on his first house as a married man. If that continues (I don't own a house, but I know what they cost when I got married, pretty much what they do now, thankfully) That means My car 10 years from now will be about that, hmm, not actually THAT much more than I payed for my van. AND that will mean my poor kids' house, well, we don't have a house and there's a reason for that.....
