Get some food
Get a good office chair (any suggestions? $100-$250 range)
Open new bank account
Finish unpacking and organizing
Clean
Get finished before the 12th.

Consignment shops are great. You can get a $300.00 chair for less than $100.00. Sometimes, Goodwill has some great stuff.

I never heard of it until just now. I only lived 2 or 3 hours away from it apparently. We were big on Boblo Island and Cedar Point. When my daugter was younng we took her to Canada's Wonderland. She now lives only 45 minutes from there now and still goes there 3 or 4 times a year.

Howdy all. I think I'm done working on campuses for a while now. Means I can't wear shorts to work any more. Sigh.

Did you notice, there's a thread on WOW, either Amazon/Woot or Woot/Amazon, and it has a picture of a Woot monkey with a maple leaf cape.

No I don't go there much.
Have you lived in Ohio long?
I was wondering if you ever saw Cliff Ericson, he is a folk -type bar singer that was very popular in the Ohio/Michigan/Ontario area in the 70's.
I guess he is still working a lot.

Unless you live in a college town. Our Goodwill is awful! Drive into the city if you want anything good, they take all the good donations up there and bring back all the rejects.

Agreed.

Edit: They could at least update us every once in a while, tell us they're working on it. That would go a long way toward making it bearable.

You're right. I'm in Charlotte and our Goodwills are pretty good. In fact, our NFL team, The Panthers, who one day will win the Superbowl, just donated 100s of flat screen TVs and furniture. Big cities do have more resources.

Goodwill also has a strict policy of leaving nothing where it is donated, so all donations go to a warehouse and are then distributed back out.

Our town actually has it's own donation shop now and it has great stuff.

Goodnight.

If I don't get online tomorrow we've gone camping. We should see quite a few Northern Lights and I'd love for the girls to see that.

Also going to a breastfeeding tea tomorrow with Ver3, should be fun.

Morning all!

Need to finish getting ready for work, easier ot lounge.

Tennis--I've been here 2 weeks already and I still need to do most of that as well. Ha! But I've not worried about setting a deadline for getting it done.

Picking a bank is the most annoying--have 2 CU accounts, will likely close one of them now, in favor of something local.

My speech is not parsing. I am speaking in ellipsis.

Hey - I have probably a silly question for you all...

when a shirt has been reckoned, does that mean it's gone forever? If so, I assume it is because they are all sold out and not making more?

Yes, once a shirt is reckoned, it is no long available. It means that its sales were such that it doesn't make sense to keep it around. At that point those screens are retired/reused or whatever.

Then amazon buys woot.
Then woot charges tax to ny state
Now nys raises the state tax.

It was supposed to break into the 100's here again today, but that has since changed apparently. 96 is our high. Finally a little relief. Right now it's 86.
